In a surprising collaboration that breaks usual forecasts, the game developer has announced an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary extra story content for Shadows players.
Strange Questline Disclosed
According to the authorized announcement, "A strange encounter pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where whispers of forbidden practices and fearsome metamorphoses resonate through the obscurity." The storyline features a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a secret group.
The mission centers on "strange tests and a fearsome enemy" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Familiar Settings and Changes
The trailer showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer finishes with a powerful scene showing a character, probably the captive, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
